$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and I started to this blog in 2010 to try and pay off my credit card debt. (I finally managed it in late 2012!) I set a budget for every year. They've gone as follows: spending no more than $30 on any single clothing item, spending only a $100 per month, and budgeting $1,200 for the year that I could spend whenever I liked. I've never once broken the rules! In 2013, I have a $1,000 budget. Questions/Concerns can be addressed care of thirtydollarproject@gmail.com or tweet me! @30dollarproject for outfit updates and @LindsH for the various musings of my everyday life. |
Glasses: Beckett from Warby Parker received as a bday gift from mom & dad, Shirt: Old Navy via the swap, Red Jean Leggings: Uniqlo $25 with hemming, Booties: J.Crew $45 (phenomenal price capable with a bday gift card from Jenny!), Scarf: GAP previously owned for 3 years,Bag: childhood gift from my great-aunt!, Bracelets: vintage via my mom
I have so many cute outfits planned, but every morning I roll out of bed, see that it’s still dark outside, and reach for comfy jeans and a tee. I thought the least that I could do today was add a bit of color.
I also have a longing to start wearing my glasses again. It’s so strange, that autumn can still be so closely associated with school in my mind. Even though the last time that I went to school in the fall was 2004. None the less, here I am. Specs on, ready to study.
Total cost of the outfit = $70
Remaining budget for 2012 = $558
