$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and I started to this blog in 2010 to try and pay off my credit card debt. (I finally managed it in late 2012!) I set a budget for every year. They've gone as follows: spending no more than $30 on any single clothing item, spending only a $100 per month, and budgeting $1,200 for the year that I could spend whenever I liked. I've never once broken the rules! In 2013, I have a $1,000 budget. Questions/Concerns can be addressed care of thirtydollarproject@gmail.com or tweet me! @30dollarproject for outfit updates and @LindsH for the various musings of my everyday life. |
Top Row: tiny eggplants from the McCarren Park Farmers Market, orange in my kitchen, hummingbird food on the back porch in CT
Bottom Row: bunny in CT, a first birthday party, the birthday girl delighted with her new car
I’ve been on a bit of a bummer lately. Due to a recurring back injury (I like to use “recurring” instead of “chronic” because it sounds better.), I am not going to be able to finish my yoga challenge. It’s humbling and disappointing and ego-busting. I miss my practice and going to my studio.
But it’s also not the worst thing in the world. There’s a lot that injuries can teach you about your body and your practice, so I am trying to keep that in mind while I pout.
So, time to focus on a few good things instead. See that peanut up there? We got to celebrate her first birthday yesterday. I recently signed up to be a volunteer with GrowNYC. I think that some potential travel possibilities will be popping up shortly and I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
