$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and I started to this blog in 2010 to try and pay off my credit card debt. (I finally managed it in late 2012!) I set a budget for every year. They've gone as follows: spending no more than $30 on any single clothing item, spending only a $100 per month, and budgeting $1,200 for the year that I could spend whenever I liked. I've never once broken the rules! In 2013, I have a $1,000 budget. Shirt: Target $20, Printed Shorts: Target $15 in-store, Sandals: Ammos on Etsy $64 (shipping included in price), Bracelets: gift from Megs
In the past, shorts have not been my friend. Is that a really commonplace feeling amongst women? I feel as though I hear that quite frequently. Let me just say that pants in general are a really tough buy for a short gal, but I got slightly obsessed with the printed shorts trend and decided to explore.
Surprisingly, these ones from Target fit the bill. (Heads-up, they were cheaper in the store.) The fabric is forgiving and the print was not overwhelming.
Also. MY NEON SANDALS. I found this amazing Etsy shop to custom-make them for me. I really love the idea that only a few select people will have them and the price was amazing. They broke in beautifully too. Highly recommend this seller.
Total cost of the outfit = $99
Remaining budget for 2012 = $647
