$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and I started to this blog in 2010 to try and pay off my credit card debt. (I finally managed it in late 2012!) I set a budget for every year. They've gone as follows: spending no more than $30 on any single clothing item, spending only a $100 per month, and budgeting $1,200 for the year that I could spend whenever I liked. I've never once broken the rules! In 2013, I have a $1,000 budget. Blouse: Top Shop via Buffalo Exchange $10, Legging Pants: Uniqlo $40, Espadrilles: Macy’s purchased with gift card, Locket: The Market NYC $30
An outfit post!
I found this top at Buffalo Exchange earlier in the year. Since I cut my hair, I’ve actually been trying to stay away from floral prints and sold a lot of flower-y dresses to Beacon’s Closet over Memorial Day weekend.
But I love the way this top is structured. The print and the draped sleeves are balanced by the structured shoulders and its cropped length.
It adds a nice element of symmetry to an outfit.
Total cost of the outfit = $80
Remaining budget for 2012 = $647
