$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and like most freelance writers, I'm broke! In 2010, I didn't spend more than $30 on a single clothing item for the entire year. In 2011, I kept my budget to $100 per month. In 2012, I can spend $1,200 whenever and wherever I choose. Questions/Concerns can be addressed care of thirtydollarproject@gmail.com or tweet me! @30dollarproject for outfit updates and @LindsH for the various musings of my everyday life. |
Lace Dress: H&M $25, Tights: GAP $8 on sale, Booties: DSW previously owned for 4 years, Clutch: Banana Republic previously owned for 4 years, Bracelet: Stella & Dot given to me by Jenny for being in her wedding party
First and foremost, Happy 2012!
As you can probably tell, my style doesn’t lend itself very well to fancy events. (It’s more librarian chic than anything else.) So on occasions such as New Year’s Eve, I am somewhat at a loss.
I don’t normally recommend this, but I popped into H&M and grabbed this pretty lace dress to wear for the occasion. I chose black so that I can hopefully get another wear or two out of the garment and used previously existing accessories to keep the cost to a minimum.
I’ll have a post shortly about what the new year means for the $30 Project! But not to worry… it’ll be sticking around for sure!
Total cost of the outfit = $33
Remaining budget for 2012 = $1,200
