$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and like most freelance writers, I'm broke! In 2010, I didn't spend more than $30 on a single clothing item for the entire year. In 2011, I kept my budget to $100 per month. In 2012, I can spend $1,200 whenever and wherever I choose. Questions/Concerns can be addressed care of thirtydollarproject@gmail.com or tweet me! @30dollarproject for outfit updates and @LindsH for the various musings of my everyday life. |
Coat: Jack by BB Dakota via Modcloth on sale for $47 (purchased with Christmas cash), Legging Pants: Uniqlo $40, Hunter Wellies: 2009 Christmas gift, Hunter Liners: present from little brother, Neon Bag: Baggu present from dudefriend, Ring: Banana Republic previously owned for 4 years
One more photo before 2012! And some holiday prezzies!
I snagged this jacket the other day when Modcloth was running an additional 25% off sale items. It was originally $89 and I got it for $47. (You can still get it, but the promo is no longer running so it’s $62 now.) Incidentally, it reminds me of a Steven Alan coat that I fell in love with earlier this year. That one would cost you upwards of $400.
I realized this morning that in the two years that I’ve been tumbling on the $30 Project, I had yet to show you any of my outerwear! (I wish that you could see my neon bag a bit better cause it’s super adorable.)
As far as 2012 goes, I’m still in the process of revising my next steps. But be on the look-out for them next week! And have a Happy New Year!
Total cost of the outfit = $87
Remaining budget FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR = $0
