$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and I started to this blog in 2010 to try and pay off my credit card debt. (I finally managed it in late 2012!) I set a budget for every year. They've gone as follows: spending no more than $30 on any single clothing item, spending only a $100 per month, and budgeting $1,200 for the year that I could spend whenever I liked. I've never once broken the rules! In 2013, I have a $1,000 budget. Glasses: Beckett from Warby Parker received as a bday gift from mom & dad, Sweater: Uniqlo $20 on sale, Gray Tee: Old Navy $4, Legging Pants: Uniqlo $40, Boots: Spotted Moth $64.98, Cowl Scarf: Yes Jess $42.50, Bracelet: Vintage via my mom, Ring: gift from my godmother
I bought this scarf last month and have been wearing it with everything. It’s quite cozy.
Uniqlo has really become my go-to for basic staple pieces. I finally broke down and bought a pair of skinny jeans to necessitate future boot wearing. I’ve also been loving their sweaters. Key pieces in colors that I can blend and layer and wear with multiple outfits. Their quality for price ratio is the best that I’ve found. Much better than the GAP or Old Navy, not to mention places like H&M. Money well spent!
Total cost of the outfit = $171.48
Remaining budget for the month of November = $27.50
The lip+cowl+sweater color palate is so perfectly autumnal!
