$30 Project |
I'm Lindsay and like most freelance writers, I'm broke! In 2010, I didn't spend more than $30 on a single clothing item for the entire year. In 2011, I kept my budget to $100 per month. In 2012, I can spend $1,200 whenever and wherever I choose. Questions/Concerns can be addressed care of thirtydollarproject@gmail.com or tweet me! @30dollarproject for outfit updates and @LindsH for the various musings of my everyday life. |
Glasses: Trial from Warby Parker, Plaid Shirt: GAP previously owned for 2 years, Denim Skirt: GAP $13 on sale, Vintage 70s Heels: Pineapple Mint shop on etsy $29, Knitted Belt: Yes Jess $10, Tights: GAP $10 in a 2 for 20 sale
I might show you another pair of specs tomorrow, but I think that these puppies are the winners! (They are the Beckett style.) I really like the subtle hunter green color.
In terms of incorporating my new glasses into my budget… I’m kind of on the fence. I do actually need a pair of eyeglasses and I feel as though I’m being fairly responsible about the pricing. (Warby Parker charges a $95 flat fee for frames WITH prescription lenses.) But these are obviously a choice based on my personal style.
Help me out here… opinions welcome!
Total cost of the outfit = $62
Remaining budget for the month of September = $60
Gorgeous glasses, girl!
